Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Honey Smacks Cereal
Frogs making honey. You knew something bad was going to happen with that.
The Centers for Disease Control is warning people that Kellogg's Honey Smacks Cereal is linked to a Salmonella outbreak. The last update on this was back on June 14th. Since then, 27 more people from 19 states have gotten sick.
The CDC has gone full blown nuclear on this cereal. They're saying don't eat any Honey Smacks at all. Never mind a best by date. If you have some in your pantry, toss it out now. Or, if you want to spend the gas, you can take it back to the store and get a refund.
U.S. Food and Drug Administration officials are investigating. At this point 100 people have been infected, 30 have been hospitalized, and thankfully, no deaths have been reported so far. For updates you can check out the CDC website.
