The great state of Texas is losing 4 stores. Two of which are in the Houston area. One in San Antonio, and the final one is in New Caney, Texas.

The ironic part. This announcement comes on the same day that Walmart announced it would provide bonuses of up to $1,000 for all full-time and part-time employees, as well as raising the minimum wage to $11 per hour.

The customers of the closing Sam's Clubs will be refunded their membership fees.

Business Insider reports that 10 of the closing stores will be turned into e-commerce distribution centers. Workers of the those stores will be able to re-apply for those jobs.
