At 9:35 pm a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Southern Coryell, Lampasas, and Bell Counties. This storm was moving east at 20mph. This warning remains in effect until 10:30 pm.

Severe storms with heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail will impact Kempner, Lampasas, Fort Hood, Killeen, Nolanville, Harker Heights, Belton, Temple, Troy and much of Central Texas. Some flooding could arise in the area so please be careful driving and do not try to cross water covered roadways.

Showers and Thunderstorms might have this Sunday afternoon seeming a lot like last Sunday afternoon. Storms kicked up a tornado near Copperas Cove last weekend and here we are again with a chance for significant storms as we head into our Sunday afternoon and evening.

The hazardous outlook for today includes thunderstorms on the increase this afternoon, this evening, and tonight. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. A chance for strong storms remains into the overnight hours of our Monday as well.

Our News partners at KWTX News 10 say this afternoon's storms will be isolated, but chances for rain will increase to about 50% by 8 p.m. tonight. Strong winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado are possible in Central Texas tonight. Have your station apps handy as we send weather alerts out when necessary. Limited spotter activation may be required late tonight according to the National Weather Service Office.
