Have you heard of Tabata?  It’s great for people who hate to exercise, but know they should. Like ME!  With Tabata you only exercise for four minutes, and then you are done for the rest of the day.  At least I am, some people do more than one - four minute cycle, but that’s just CRAZY!  Here you can see a beginner and an advanced student, so you can get an idea of what  kind of exercise you can do. It works for just about anything.

Tabata, is an exercise developed in the '70's by a Japanese Professor. All you have to do is pick a cardio activity such as running, jumping rope, or biking and go as hard as you can for 20 seconds. 100 percent maximum intensity!  Follow that with 10 seconds of rest and repeat seven more times. By the end of the 4 minutes you should feel like you're going to die.  Here's another Tabata routine. They are everywhere.

You can do that for up to 8 cycles.  That would make the total work out about 32 minutes (I did the math).  Me, I will just do 4 minutes and stop. One word of caution, warm up before you start.  I figured I didn't need to do that the other day and immediately regretted it.  I started jogging on my mini trampoline, and after only 8 seconds.  I had to stop and PRAY!   My hamstring locked up big time.   I eventually recovered and now I won't be so cocky.    So put the Tabata Timer on your phone, choose your exercise and go for it!
