In a statement Monday, Gov. Abbott announced that passing the STAAR test would not be a requirement to move on to the next grade for 5th and 8th graders.

In case you've forgotten, we're still in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Gov. Abbott on Wednesday announced the third phase of reopening Texas.

Will this continue to be the trend that we see as Texas reopens? Businesses opening then quickly closing again due to possible exposure?
