Snakes

I was talking with a friend a while back about the things we were most afraid of happening to us in real life, and she told me she'd had nightmares about being bitten by a snake while sitting on the toilet. At the time, we both laughed heartily at the thought, as horrendous as it is, because although it seemed terrifying, it also seemed unlikely to happen in real life. So, when I read this story, it was shocking.

Given that the Lone Star State has the largest number of snakes than any other U.S. state, it's good to be aware while enjoying our Texas lakes.

There's a season for every animal in the Lone Star State, and currently, we're in one for a venomous animal.

One state should be more worried than others when the snakes are more active this year.

Snakes have been known to be found in the WORST areas possible in Texas.

Beach? Sounds good! Rattlesnakes? Hard no ...

I know there are plenty of people out there who have no problem handling snakes. I am not one of them.
