Morning just won't be the same anymore in Central Texas. KISD announced today that their new Chief of Communications is none other than Morning Achor on KWTX, Taina Maya.

Killeen ISD Superintendent John Craft announced the hiring of Ms. Maya as the newest member of the Killeen Independent School District Central Administration Team. He said,  "Taina Maya has demonstrated her abilities as an extremely articulate communicator and has an astute sense of the multiple mediums for which to most effectively reach our stakeholders. We are excited for Ms. Maya to join the KISD team as she is destined to have a profound, positive impact on how we not only best communicate but also work to market the Killeen Independent School District going forward".

For the past 9 years Taina has been keeping Central Texas informed of all the news in the area each morning for two hours, and updates during the National Morning News show.

Ms. Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas.

Volunteering for numerous community organizations and serving on nonprofit Boards remains her passion.

Good luck Taina, you're million-watt smile will be missed.
