It’s Bloomin' Temple Time.  This weekend the whole family is invited to Temple, Texas for some good old fashioned fun. You know, practically every town in America has their own special celebration.  Copperas Cove celebrates rabbits during Rabbit Fest,   Killeen Celebrates Killeen.  Holland shows off its corn during the Corn Fest.  (I remember the movie “Children of the Corn” so I am always looking over my shoulder for that one).  Belton goes all out for the 4th of July, and I’m not quite sure what Lampasas celebrates with the Spring Ho.

But this weekend you can let yourself go at the Bloomin Temple Festival, Friday and Saturday in downtown Temple.  Enjoy all the festival stuff, the carnival, concerts, the Devil-May-Care food, like funnel cake and giant turkey legs, a talent show and a car show too.

Bloomin Temple Fest is going to be a lot of fun, you can get your tickets here or at the gate.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Central Texas (CACCT).  I love helping them out, because they help kids, kids who have been abused and neglected.  Thanks to CACCT, These children get someone they can count on, someone who looks out for their best interests, someone who will speak for them in Court.

It takes volunteers and donations to get the children what they need.  This weekend you can lend your support and have fun at the same time.  Just come on out to Temple Bloomin Fest!  Bring the family, enjoy yourself,  and remember you are supporting a great cause at the same time.
