Inside of the Temple Holiday Inn there will be a group of enthusiasts gathering to buy, sell, trade, and admire some of their most meaningful possessions. Terry Spragg has been hosting the Temple Texas Card and Comics Show since October of last year. The free event continues to grow with both vendors and attendees.

Why Have a Sports and Comic Memorabilia Show in Temple?

I spoke with Mr. Spragg, and he said his main motivation for starting the show wasn't money. Terry wanted to start an event that brought people of all ages together to enjoy their common interests in sports memorabilia and comic books. The show consists of about a 50-50 spread between the comic books and the sports related items.

What Can You Expect to Find at the Temple Texas Card and Comics Show?

Wondering about the types of cards and other items that would be on display at the event, I asked Terry what some of the more unique or expensive things were that he's seen at the event. Spragg, himself, has a Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa card worth over $1,000.
I asked if he had seen any #1 Superman comic books at the show, and even though he hasn't seen anything that rare he has seen graded comic books worth a few hundred dollars.

Terry Spragg ended the call by saying he really just wants the event to be fun for everyone, and that he does this because of his love for collecting. He said, "I would like to try to keep it where the kids can still enjoy it and buy cards at a reasonable price because some of the stuff today has just gotten outrageous."

Good for you, Terry!
