School is out in Temple, Texas, and many students are excited.

It's a chance for everyone to rest, relax, and most importantly, recharge after a long school year. Vacations have been planned, no homework has been assigned, and it's all about having some fun before the new school year starts again.

But, there's one thing that some children in Central Texas will miss, and that is a meal during the day. The importance of a young individual getting essential nutrients cannot be understated. But how will those without access to certain foods be able to get said meal?

Thanks to Temple ISD, various places in the area will be providing meals for no charge. Here's what is known.

"...TDA is awesome in allowing our program to continue to supply that weekly need during the summer for all children 18 and under. No ID is required. We feed all children during the summer program. You do not have to be a student enrolled in TISD. Children 18 and under just need to show up at one of our locations and they will receive a meal.”
