This Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, the Acadamy Awards, AKA the Oscars, will be broadcast on ABC or you can watch them on Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV.

Being the best at things is what Texans are born and bred to do. We are the best at making brisket, we develop the best football players, and our professional teams have won championships in the four main sports in America. We've had many Texans win grammies, so it should be no surprise that actors from the Lone Star state have been awarded the Oscar from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Since 1945, there have been seven Texas actors that have won the Oscar, and one of those actors has taken home two herself making Texas the home of eight of the little golden statues from the Acadamy. Unfortunately, this year we won't be seeing any of actor awards being presented to actors hailing from our fine state.

With that in mind I would like to take a moment to acknowledge those fine thespians of the arts that have made Texas proud with their accomplishments. These performers have for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Supporting Actor.
