A day care in the state of Texas is currently facing inquiries after it alleged on of the children in the facility was exposed to an illegal drug. What led to the discovery? Here's what is known at the time of writing.

Details Of The Situation

As reported by KTAB/KRBC, Kids On Maple Day Care, located in Abilene, had a purported situation where an unidentified child came into contact with the drug Methamphetamine on October 7th, 2025. One of the items in the day care, unknown at the time of writing, was reported to have the drug on it.

Per the news organization, the child was indeed checked on by medical personnel. The results of the examination were not provided by KTAB/KRBC at the time of writing. Kids On Maple has also responded to the incident.

What Did Kids On Maple Say In Response To The Investigation?

In a statement, Kids On Maple said the following:

“Police, ambulance, licensing, and CPS were all called by us to make sure the situation was handled correctly. There was no injury and the child’s parents were involved from the beginning. The child still attends our daycare...No child/children were “pulled out” due to the incident. We continue to have an outstanding record with licensing. The children’s care and safety will continue to be of upmost importance to us.”

At the time of writing, no charges has been filed or reported. As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
