The Excitement of US Politics

I don't know if I can remember a time that American politics has ever been this exciting. Whether your candidate won or not, you cannot deny that things are quite entertaining to watch. Take for example the meeting of the House Oversight Committe that recently seemed like it might turn into a dive bar brawl.

Texas Politicians Jasmine Crocket's Jab

It all started during a debate about transgender issues when Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett called South Carolina Republican Nancy Mace “child.” As you can imagine, Mace, who is not a child but rather a grown woman of 47 years, wasn’t pleased with the name calling so her response was, “Do you want to take it outside?”

US Politics or Reality TV

Crockett calling Mace “child” was already borderline juvenile, but when Mace responded with the equivalent of Bhad Bhabie's "Cash Me Outside", it basically put US politics straight into reality TV territory. All that was missing was an aside that would have been filmed a little later with each woman describing how they would have beat the other one if the cameras hadn't been on the whole time.

Where is Capitol Hill Headed

Politics used to be boring, and quite frankly I miss those times. I can understand that arguing about policies you believe strongly in could cause you to get excited, but I don't think anything that goes on in those meetings should evolve into a schoolyard fist fight. If we continue to let politics in the US move in this direction the soon the gavel will be given up for a ringside bell.

Texans who disagree feel that removing these teaching standards are a step in the wrong direction and may lead away from educating our children about the diversity of American citizens and their histories.

Texas Capitol Is Adorned With Unique Door Hinges And Bright Chandeliers

Built out of red granite from Marble Falls, Texas has one of the largest and most unique state capitols of all the states in the union. Currently, it's the sixth tallest state capitol building and just one of several that are taller than the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Yep, everything is bigger here in Texas and this building has some unique characteristics about it too.
