Yesterday (April 6th) the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, located in beautiful Carthage, TX, announced this years list of deserving inductees.

Each year TCMHOF hosts an induction ceremony, and this year it's happening the second weekend in August. Everyone is invited to attend and see special guests including, Jeannie C. Riley, Marty Haggard, and Emcee Dallas Wayne. John Ritter Tribute Talent Showcase: June 2022.

Make plans to visit Aug 12th-14th, for a full weekend of fun. You can explore The Tex Ritter Museum which opened in August 2002 in a $2.5 million state-of-the-art facility. To date, over 30,000 country music fans have visited to re-live some of the greatest moments in country music history.

According to their website, The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, formerly the Tex Ritter Museum, located in Carthage in Panola County in East Texas, honors those who have made outstanding contributions to country music and were born in the state of Texas. This includes singers, songwriters, disc jockeys, and others."

David Frizzell was born in El DoradoArkansas. According to his Wikipedia page he began performing in his brother's show at the age of 12. In 1981, he recorded his first No. 1 country hit, "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" with Shelly West. That same year the song won the Country Music Association's Song of the Year and Vocal Duet of the Year awards, it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and was featured in Clint Eastwood's film Any Which Way You Can

The Texas Tenors are a three-time Emmy Award-winning classical crossovertrio vocal group formed in 2009 by country singer JC Fisher, pop singer Marcus Collins and opera singer John Hagen. They were a top four finalist in the fourth season of America's Got Talent, making them the highest ranking vocal group in the show's history. They are Billboard Magazine’s #10 Classical Artist in the World for 2019.

Buddy Holly is a true American icon. Did you know that John Lennon and Paul McCartney studied Holly's records, and based their act around his persona. In fact the name of their band was inspired by Holly's insect-themed Crickets, "The Beatles". Lennon and McCartney have both cited Holly as one of their main influences.
