Every Texan sees different prices driving around in the Lone Star State. Which makes it tougher when you're driving around on E and trying to save money at the same time. Yes, sometimes it works out, but other times drivers are stuck paying more for gas than they originally want.

The good news for Texas drivers now? It seems gas prices have gone down for the time being.

How Are Gas Prices Trending In Texas?

As revealed by KWTX, the good news that prices have trended downward. Which means Texas wallets are feeling just a little bit heavier money-wise. KWTX reports the average price is $2.61 per gallon, which was revealed by AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.

AAA Texas spokesperson, Daniel Armbruster, said the following about the price drop:

“Lower crude oil prices, steady production and lower demand are giving drivers relief at the pump."

The even better news? Prices should continue the downward trend thanks to fall and winter, with cooler temps causing lower fuel usage.
