Texans Might Actually Vacation In The New Gulf Of America

President-elect Donald Trump’s thinks that a better name for the Gulf of Mexico would be the Gulf of America. This is one of the more recent in a long line of wild suggestions that Trump has made in changing our current knowledge of world geography. On Tuesday, Trump said that he thought Gulf of America had a “beautiful ring to it,” but he didn't explain why he thought the change was something that needed to happen. Early this week Trump said that joked that Canada was our 51st state, he has repeatedly made comments suggesting that Denmark should give control of Greenland over to the USA, and he has also insisted that Panama should return the Panama Canal to America as well.

If you live in Texas, having the Gulf of Mexica being renamed to the Gulf of America could be pretty cool. The water in the Gulf of Mexico is practically flowing through the veins of many Texans due to its impact in their lives and its deep roots into their cultures. If you live on the water in Texas, then it is the Gulf of Mexico. Imagine being able to go fishing or swimming in the Gulf of America. That sounds so much cooler than the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf of Mexico sounds like a place run by drug cartels, and every boat has a Mariachi Band playing La Cucaracha. Meanwhile, in the Gulf of America all you hear is the sound of fireworks exploding and the patriotic yell of the bald eagle.
