Every couple of weeks I go out to a shooting range, and I get the opportunity to shoot some amazing weapons that are suppressed, fully automatic, and extremely large. When you are in Texas you have to take advantage of the Lone Star State's love of firearms, and you need to find a range where you can fire a couple thousand rounds down range through the barrels of guns that you normally wouldn't be able to access. 

📜 The Law of Full Auto: Civilian Ownership in the USA

In the United States of America, it is illegal for a civilian to own a machine gun that was made after May 19th, 1986. Because of their status most Pre 1986 machine guns costs in the tens of thousands of dollars. These weapons must also be registered with the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record (NFRTR). 

🎯 Renting Machine Guns: Texas' Unique Advantage

Obviously, military and law enforcement are able to have fully automatic weapons, but some dealers are allowed to have them as well if they procure the proper Special Occupational Tax Stamp (SOT). Luckily, in the state of Texas if you throw a rock in any direction, it's likely going to end up in the parking lot of a shooting range that has fully automatic weapons available to rent by the hour.

Firearms are dangerous, and they should be treated with respect knowing the dangers that they present. However, if you are trained properly and if you can adhere to the safety measures that are taught to you then you can have a great time participating in a skill-based activity that is extremely rewarding.
