Hotwifing in Texas: Controversial Trend Growing Among Couples

In the United States, 40-50% of first-time marriages end in divorce, and 60-70% for people that are married for a 2nd time. Some Texas couples claim to have found an interesting (and controversial) way to keep their marriages healthy.

Divorce Rates and Alternative Lifestyles

There has been an increase in a practice known as "hotwifing" throughout the US and in a few Texas cities as well. San Antonio has even been placed on in top ten US cities for swingers in America according to the 3Fun app. San Antonio ranked 6th on their list with 1,568 of the 210,889 American users being residents of that city.

Hotwifing vs. Swinging

There is one big difference between hotwifing and swinging. Swinging is a practice that involves both partners in the relationship being intimate with another couple, meanwhile, hotwifing is when the husband just watches while his wife gets it on with another man.

Cuckolding vs. Hotwifing

Many people are already familiar with the term cuckolding which is when a man derives pleasure from the feeling of humilation while another man is sharing a special moment with his wife. However, even though the two situations involve the wife being with another man, a husband participates in hotwifing because he is aroused by the fact that someone else is attracted to his wife.

Personal Boundaries and Trust

Personally, I could never imagine a scenario where either one of these types of relationships would be appealing to me. One of the major appeals of marriage is knowing that your partner isn't going to be sleeping with anyone else...unless they are doing it in secret and making every effort for you to never find out.

I would never let someone, no matter how close we are, borrow my Jeep and take it out for a ride, and I love my wife almost as much as my Jeep!
