It’s no secret that southerners are not very comfortable when it comes to drastic weather changes that leave our roads slick and icy. Every time it happens, we inevitably get video of folks trying to drive in these conditions and failing spectacularly.

Look, we all have places we need to be and we can't always take off work when the world frosts over, but videos like the one below shot in Dallas are just proof that even in the least icy conditions, it's easy to lose control and get into nasty crashes.

I cannot stress to you how important it is to make sure to be very safe and to drive slowly in these conditions. We all wanna make sure we make it home safe and sound to our loving families.

When you see the footage, you almost want to close your eyes as each vehicle gets ready to run into another after skidding all across the roadway. As terrifying as it is to watch, just imagine actually being in that situation. Thank God there were no reported deaths or major injuries, but these vehicles sure did get beat up.

You can see in the video that at least four vehicles run into each other. It starts with this very large 18-wheeler sliding on the road, and from there it’s just like a domino effect. I honestly wouldn’t know what to do in that situation, I know we are all told if we’re ever put in that predicament to let go of your wheel or to slightly turn right, but it is a frightening scene.

Check it out for yourself, and remember it next time you go driving in icy conditions. It's a reminder to take it easy and give yourself plenty of time (and other drivers plenty of space).
