State Of Texas Lands At Number Two In Nation For Reckless Driving
We've all seen bad driving in the state of Texas right?
It caused all of us to probably say a few choice words and wonder if the person is even paying attention while on the roadway. We mean, who forgets to drive in between the lines painted on the the pavement? Simply put, it's very frustrating.
All over the state of Texas we witness people not paying attention while on the road. This sometimes can cause very scary things to happen, like an accident occurring, or something even worse. For Texas, recent data indicates that it is more of an issue than some might think.
New data might encourage some of us to put down the phone, and keep our eyes on the road more.
Texas Ranked Highly Due To Amount Of Reckless Driving In State
To find out the answers, CW33 turned to the The Barnes Firm. Multiple details of driving were taken into account to determine the rankings of all states in the nation. For example, road rage prevalence and DUI arrests per 100,000 people were included as components.
For the Lone Star State, 3,143 accidents in the state had alcohol involved in them. Overall, that was the most in the nation. Texans also placed highly in terms of road rage, and had 447 accidents that were considered fatal brought about by distracted drivers.
When all factors were put together, the state of Texas was placed 2nd overall in the nation for reckless driving. Second only to California.
