Texas Rangers Pitcher Cole Hamels Donates Mansion to Charity
Texas Rangers Pitcher Cole Hamels is donating a mansion and 100 acres of land to charity this Christmas!
The mansion in the video above is valued at $9.75 million dollars. It sits on 100 acres that will soon belong to the Camp Barnabas Charity. It is the largest donation in the charity's history.
The property is located near Table Rock Lake outside of Reed Springs, Missouri. Cole's wife Heidi grew up near-by in Buffalo. The couple thought the mansion would be their dream home, but when Cole was traded to the Texas Rangers, the major league pitcher and his wife moved to Texas and have not been back to the property since.
Camp Barnabas provides a Christian camping experience to individuals with special needs or chronic illness. Cole's wife Heidi was once a contestant on CBS's "Survivor". She's also appeared on the cover of Playboy Magazine.
