Are you thinking about moving to Texas? Well, a recent study may make you change your mind.  The Cons may outweigh the Pros when it comes to relocating to the Lone Star State despite offering attractive reasons to do so.

Why or Why Not

When you look at the low taxes, the warm weather, and the large job market Texas is quite appealing. However, certain factor like low scores in education, health, and safety have resulted in it losing appeal.

3rd Worst

According the ConsumerAffairs Texas is the third-worst state to move to in 2024. ConsumerAffairs may say "third worst", but I say we're the fourth-eighth best! Louisiana and Alaska were the worst, and Utah, New Hampshire, and Idaho were ranked the best. I think their study loses all credibility putting Utah anywhere near the top. Who wants to live in a state that sold 3.5% beer. They may have gotten rid of the law that required that in 2019, but I'm still judging them!

‍ ‍⚕️ Not the Best

Texas ranked last against every single state in Health and Education. Okay, let's work on it, or here is a really cool idea. Let's not tell people that Texas is a bad place to move, and then healthy nerds will move here to balance out the ration.

It's Not All Bad

Quality of Life is considered to be pretty good in Texas. We ranked 16th due to weather, public transit, and road quality. That's awesome, but just be happy they didn't factor in the road that I live off of in the road quality survey.

⭐ My Texas

As far as I'm concerned, ConsumerAffairs can rank Texas wherever they want, but the Lone Star State gets five stars in my book!
