Texas Teen Girl Accused of Heartbreaking and Startling Goat Murder
Teenagers are known to be rather egocentric and petty, but this 17-year-old Texas teen has taken that behavior to a whole new level. Aubrey Vanlandingham has been charged with animal cruelty. Vanlandingham allegedly killed her rival’s competition show goat. RIP Willie.
Police reported that the alleged goat murderer entered the Vista Ridge High School with a drench gun full of pesticide, and force fed the deadly chemical to the prized goat. The act was caught on camera, so a successful prosecution shouldn’t be too difficult to achieve.
It wasn’t an easy death for poor Willie. The goat died about 21 hours after being poisoned, and his final hours were wrought with convulsions and respiratory stress. The Texas Goat Killer confessed to the crime telling the police that it was because she believed that the goat’s owner was a cheater. Vanlandingham even had the gall to admit to the fact that this was her second attempt at theriocide having tried to kill the goat once before.
If the CCTV footage isn’t enough to secure a conviction Vanlandingham was polite enough to leave a nice little trail of breadcrumbs from the scene of the crime to her phone. A look at her Google search history showed results to the questions, “how much bleach can kill an animal” and “how to clear search history.”
The 15-year-old girl who owned the goat held Willie in his final moments. She is obviously devastated, and her mother wants it to be known that they are in no way interested in forgiveness. “We want justice,” the mother told the Daily Mail. “No slap on the wrist. We want her punished.”
Vanlandingham could face up to two years in prison if she is found guilty.
