Garland, Texas was disturbed by a rare shooting over Easter weekend that sadly left a 15 year old kid dead, and three more people from the same family shot, including a little boy who is only 3. It was a very daring shooting that happened in the middle of the day as the family was setting up an outdoor Easter gathering that ended with everyone being rushed to the hospital with at least one gunshot wound each.

According to this WFAA article, the family was setting up on Good Friday evening around 6:30 for an Easter family gathering when they came under attack with several shots being fired into the courtyard of their apartment complex. Three members of the same family were struck by at least one bullet, and the 15 year old family friend was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital.

Texas Teens Now Charged For Murder And Shooting Family

Thankfully by Sunday morning, both the mother and the three year old boy, who was shot in the legs, were released from the hospital, but the 19 year old remained hospitalized on Easter. Two 16 year old suspects were arrested later in the day on Sunday, but information is limited due to their status as minors.

The suspects have been charged with murder and additional counts of aggravated assault, serious bodily injury. Police are saying they have been able to collect a ton of physical evidence and witness testimony, and we all hope something like this never happens again.

According to NBCDFW, of the 183 total Amber Alerts issued in the United States in 2023, 26% of cases were resolved successfully. Below are some of the cases you never hear about.
