Here's something you probably never thought you'd see. A turtle was spotted riding on the back of an alligator today in Orange, Texas - down by Houston. Nature photographer on tamarascaneras.com posted this photo on reddit as natureartist and I couldn't just let the photo sit there without letting the whole world admire it.

But apparently it's not as rare as you'd think. A cursory search on Twitter quickly showed me that this turtle-alligator bond has happened before.

It's a thing, apparently. And I thought I'd share.

In light of flooding, we should all expect to see our neighbors help each other out in times of need. But this case of inter-species seems quite bizarre.
