One of the reasons Central Texas is a great community is that it's home to so many men and women who have served our great country in uniform in our armed services. All this week, cities throughout the area are showing their gratitude as we head into Veterans Day.

The City of Harker Heights and the Harker Heights Veterans Council are inviting the general public and veteran to their Veterans Ceremony on Thursday, November 9 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Recreation Center located at 307 Miller’s Crossing.

The ceremony will feature guest speaker Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) James R. Crane, Deputy Commander of the 3d Cavalry Regiment (Brave Rifles), remarks by City of Harker Heights Mayor Spencer H. Smith, and the traditional wreath laying to honor those who gave their lives.
