The Greatest Summer Job Awaits in Temple
What is often called the greatest summer job ever is waiting for 25 excellent swimmers.in Temple. Temple Parks and Recreation needs 25 lifeguards to work at local swimming facilities this summer.
Just imagine starring in our own local "Baywatch". But there is no sand, just cement, and the cameras will all be in your head. But the swimmers will be there in the flesh and they need someone to watch over them.
Lifeguards are needed at five locations throughout the summer season: Lions Junction Family Water Park, Walker Pool, Clark Pool, Sammons Indoor Pool and the pool at the Summit Recreation Center. Lifeguarding experience and Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification are preferred; however, those who are not certified yet are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Aquatics Coordinator, Keith Dawson says “We encourage interested applicants to apply early so we can have them certified before the beginning of the season.”
If you hurry and register, NOW you may get into the last Temple lifeguard class of the month. It begins May 22, but you must complete an online course first. You can do it if you register Now!
Work schedule and pay rate vary by position. Employment applications are available on the City of Temple’s website: www.templetx.gov/jobs or in the Human Resources office located in the Municipal Building (2 North Main Street, Suite 209).
