This Pflugerville House is Really, Really Pink
If you had an extra $10,000 to spare, would you spend it on a vacation? Pay off some bills? Or maybe, paint your house pink? That's exactly what Emilio Rodriguez did to his home in Pflugerville.
Simply because pink is his favorite color, Emilio planned to find a house that did not have an HOA to tell him what he could or couldn't do to his home. The home he found happened to be located in the Creekside subdivision near Dessau Road and Wells Branch Parkway.
“I (chose) literally a Pepto-Bismol paint; if you feel me, I wanted a slime pink. A wet slime — it looks like a liquid — that’s what I was going for, like a liquidy slime ooze pink,” he told the Statesman “It kind of sounds like Pepto-Bismol, if you think about it.”
It isn't just the paneling of the house that's pink, it's everything! His garage, the inside of the house, and the pink yard and gravel is on the way.
According to Rodriguez, his neighbors are clearly not happy with the pink, but there really isn't much they can do. Regardless, he still receives threats and nasty comments on social media.
