Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Possible In Bell County Overnight

Severe Weather is not expected but some strong showers and thunderstorms could develop as a system moves through central Texas overnight.

Several West Texas counties have already been under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch earlier this evening. The same storm system is expected to move through Bell County overnight. The main threat associated with these storms will be strong winds and hail. KWTX is reporting rainfall around 2 inches is possible is some places in the path of these storms. 

As this weather system approaches, storms are expected to weaken significantly once they cross I-35 and begin to push away from central Texas. Stay weather aware this evening and expect these storms to impact travel in central Texas overnight and early Monday.
