Thunderstorms Cause Watches and Warnings in Central Texas
The National Weather Service has issued multiple alerts for Central Texas this afternoon.
- A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bell County until 3 p.m.
- A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for McLennan County until 3:45 p.m.
- A Tornado Watch has been issued for the entire listening area until 8 p.m.
Some of these storms causing 60-mile-per-hour winds, half-dollar size hail, and will likely make travel difficult along I-35 (especially Mile Markers 282 - 312).
Thunderstorms will head east through Central Texas until early this evening. These storms could cause damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes as they head to the east. Another round of storms could kick in on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday in the area.
