Texas High Schoolers Will Now Need To Buy State Fair Of Texas Tickets

The state fair of Texas is an event many in the Lone Star State look for forward to for a lot of reasons. The food being the biggest one of course right? But for a select group of individuals that were once allowed to get free tickets, that luxury is no more.

When Does The State Fair Of Texas Begin?

It feels like the 2024 edition of the State Fair of Texas was more recent that we imagined, but it's almost time to see the 2025 version. One thing is for sure, the event is going to bring in many visitors from inside Texas and outside the state. So, on September 26th, the festivities begin once again.

To get into the fair of course, you'll need to buy ticket. Over the years, ticket prices have gone up as we all know. But some in the state were still able to get their admission into the event for no charge.

For Texas high schoolers who enjoyed getting into the State Fair of Texas via free tickets they could receive, they will no longer be able to.

What Led To Texas High Schoolers Not Getting Free Tickets Anymore?

According to FOX 4, a select group of students will still get tickets for free. Educators and their students from Pre-K to Eighth grade are still able to get free tickets. The ability to get those tickets for free is if they live within 100 miles of the event.

High schoolers however, will have to pay full price, unless they take advantage of a deal offered by the State Fair of Texas that results in a cheaper deal, which can be read about here.
