Nothing says Christmas like an Easy Bake Oven under the tree!

Remember how magical it was to walk into Toys R Us or K B Toys (RIP) and shop for Christmas gifts as a kid? Who cared about getting clothes or jewelry? All you wanted for Christmas was an American Girl Doll and a Dream House for your Barbies! Below are the top 10 Christmas gifts you wanted as a kid!

BARBIE DREAM HOUSE

Any respectable Barbie loving girl had one of these on their Christmas list. I actually got one for Christmas one year, but my parents ended up returning it because it kept falling apart. (Even though it cost parents, like, a million dollars to buy. Thanks, Mattel.)

TALKBOY/TALKGIRL

Every kid who saw Home Alone 2 knew that they NEEDED a talkboy to confuse bad guys and make prank calls on their friends!

WALKMAN OR PORTABLE CD PLAYER

Needless to say I wore out the batteries on this bad boy with my Backstreet Boys Millineum CD.

MY SIZE BARBIE

This was  truly one of the most magical gifts I ever got as a kid. What was better than a Barbie that you could share clothes with? I was convinced I wasn't getting one due to the hefty price tag, but lo and behold, come Christmas morning, there she was, in all her shining glory! It was a Christmas miracle!

EASY BAKE OVEN

This is how I realized that I suck at cooking.

PUPPY SURPRISE

There could be 3, or 4, or 5 puppies inside! When I got mine, I thought there were only 3 (boo!) until later in the afternoon I found a hidden 4th puppy inside! The gift that keeps on giving!

RAZR SCOOTER

My little brother begged for one of these. If you wanted to be the cool kid in the neighborhood, forget bikes! You needed a RAZR!

MY LITTLE PONIES

My little pony, my little pony, I love to brush her beautiful hairrr! I loved these as a kid. And now it seems that the show has been rebooted, and is popular with middle school boys who call themselves "bronies". (Just another fun fact I learned teaching 6th grade science last year!) I prefer to remember the ponies in their original 80's glory.

SEGA GENESIS

Best gaming console ever. Game messing up? Just blow on the cartridge!

AMERICAN GIRL DOLLS

The OG of Christmas toys. I never actually owned an American Girl doll, probably because they cost $34543645643 dollars. Instead I played with my friend's dolls (Yes plural. She had TWO!) But I did own the books. Samantha was the dream, and I’m not gonna act like I haven’t thought about buying one on EBAY every now and then!
