Cruising Through Texas With Country Music As The Soundtrack

There is something about country music that feels right in Texas.

Perhaps it is the miles and miles of horizon, or the virtually never-ending pastures. It could even be that sunsets look as if painted by George Strait himself. Whether you’re cruising through the Hill Country or navigating a gravel backroad headed towards Salado, all you will need is a good playlist, a full tank of gas, and either the windows down or the top off your Jeep.

Here, country music is not just a genre of music It is a lifestyle. It is the soundtrack of summer barbecues, bonfires on cooler nights, and never-ending two-lane roads. It also tells stories of heart break, gas station beer runs, tractors, and first kisses (more than likely on the tailgate of a truck).

I think looking back some of my favorite memories will be having the top down and the doors off of the Jeep while driving down some Texas backroads and listening to my four-year-old daughter sing along to our favorite songs in the back seat of the Jeep.

Admittedly, sometimes it does get a little too hot to cruise around with the windows down. However, when the temperatures rise there isn't any better way to cool off than to take a ride with the A/C blasting and the country music blaring.

When that perfect breeze carries through with your favorite songs playing, it is the moment that Texas sings along to your song.
