KWTX is reporting that McLennan County deputies busted two men Friday after serving a search warrant in Lorena. The warrant was attached to a child pornography investigation.

Sheriff Parnell McNamara, along with McLennan County investigators and Woodway officers served up the warrant Friday morning around 10:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Kennedy Lane.

Sheriff McNamara said..."We found methamphetamine in the house when we went in."

That's never a good start when you get a knock on the door and you've got meth out. It's 10:30 in the morning on a Friday. You looking to waste the whole the weekend?

The two quick studies in stupidity that got busted were Thomas Michael Cornford, 26, and Edward Sutton, 39.

If they didn't hit the meth so early they might have avoided the cuffs, but, they were both charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Why do they call it a "controlled" substance? If you're taking it, you're out of control.

Sheriff McNamara said that the investigation into child pornography is ongoing.
