A 58-year-old Temple man was shot in the arm in his home Monday evening and the suspect is still on the loose.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at a home in the 300 block of North 6th Street around 11 p.m. The victim had been struck by a bullet and was treated at Scott and White Hospital. His wound was not life-threatening.

Investigators say the suspect or suspects drove to the home in a dark vehicle. One suspect approached the home, fired several shots and then left the scene in the same vehicle.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black man around 6 feet tall and wearing dark clothing.
