Back by popular demand, US105 has even more free tickets to Six Flags Over Texas, and you can win them with Free Ticket Friday.

Yes, we gave some away a couple of weeks ago and the response was huge, so we got more for this week.

Like I've said before, no summer is complete without a trip to the Big D and a visit to Six Flags Over Texas. I know technically it's in Arlington, but when I was a kid, it was always just Dallas.

Six Flags was the trip of every summer. My family would make the trek from Tyler and the whole way there it was, "I'm riding the Shockwave 5 times in a row," or "I dare you to ride the Texas Giant," or "I bet your to scared to ride the Mini Mine Train." Man, we had a blast going to Six Flags.

One of my favorite parts was standing on the bridge as the "Roaring Rapids" ride would make its final decent and literally soak us from head to toe. It was so nice to finally cool down after a long hot day in Texas heat.

It's Time to 'Stuff the Bus' for Central Texas Students

The new school year is just around the corner, and Central Texas students will face unique challenges as we put the pandemic behind us and look to the future.

One challenge no child should face is being without the essential school supplies they'll need to live up to their potential and achieve academic success.

That's where you and I come in. From July 19 to August 15, you can donate school supplies at the following locations. Donated supplies will benefit students in need in Belton ISD, Killeen ISD, and Temple ISD. (Click each district to view their 2021-2022 school supply lists.)
