Virtual Reality Coaster Takes Flight in a Week at Six Flags Over Texas

OK. The nerd in me just got really, really excited. Six Flags Over Texas located in Arlington just released a video of their latest "launch". The "New Revolution Virtual Reality Coaster" will open for test rides on March 10, before opening to the public on March 26.

If you watch the short video, you'll see that you're equipped with a virtual reality headset, which is synced with the 55 mph roller coaster. In the virtual world, you're flying a fighter jet amid a battle with space aliens in a city.

The 360-degree world is in Hi-Def and is the first coaster of its kind in North America. Welcome to the future of amusement park rides.
