Visit the Merry Old Land of Oz this Summer
Yes, it's possible to travel to the Land of Oz this summer. A once abandoned theme park will re-open every Friday in June.
The once abandoned park will re-open during Family Fun Month on June 3rd.
The video, uploaded in 2012, tells the story of how the theme park came to fruition and gives you a glimpse inside. It also tells the story of its closing and abandonment, and shares the beginning of the 'Autumn at Oz,' which brought it back to life.
If you're already planning a trip to the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina this June, then you could follow 44,000-brick yellow brick road throughout the entire park.
Tickets cost $12.50 plus a $10 roundtrip lift ticket and online tickets go on sale the Monday before each tour. Curious about the tour, Go Carolinas, offers a slideshow of the inside.
