Suspect Finally Arrested After Another Waco, TX Teen Is Murdered

Another murder of a teenager happened last week in Waco, Texas and it took the involvement of the US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to finally bring about an arrest of the suspect 8 days later. When serious crimes like this happen in nearby communities to Killeen-Temple, it affects our quality of life by extension.

I don't know about you, but the idea an at large murder suspect is on the loose for over a week in Central Texas isn't the most comforting idea. That's why I am thankful we have a service like the US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

You might recall the last time a teenage murder suspect was at large for killing a teen in Waco, the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force jumped into action, and made an arrest.

Who was the teenager murdered in Waco?

The young man murdered on May 2nd was 17 year old Tercquan Johnson. Police responded to a call of shot fired near 1900 Block of JJ Flewellen Road a little after 8pm. According to this article with KWTX-TV,

"When officers arrived, they located the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds. Johnson was later pronounced dead at the scene."

Who was arrested for shooting Johnson?

Just this past Wednesday 17-year-old Ruben Villa Lee Dominguez was arrested in Freestone County by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. He has been charged with murder, and awaits extradition to McLennan County. This marks the 7th person to be murdered in the Waco area already in 2023.
