Wanted Texas Man Turns Himself In To Get A Better Mugshot
Forget "America's Most Wanted" and other crime TV shows. In recent years, police have been finding it easier to just post a wanted fugitive on Facebook and let the suspects capture themselves.
We told you last week of a Texas fugitive who got captured after asking for his own reward money on Facebook. Now we have another fugitive who was unhappy with his mugshot after it was posted on Facebook, so he decided to turn himself in to get a new one.
According to WBRC 6, 20-year old Ahmad Sadiq-Mohamed Ibrahim was wanted out of Randall County, Texas on the outskirts of Amarillo on a Felony Probation Violation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Over 1 Gram / Under 4 Grams.
After seeing a post about his wanted status on Facebook, Ibrahim was not too pleased with the mugshot the police department had on file, so he decided to help them out by commenting:
And true to his word, Ibrahim showed up to update his mugshot and the police were more than happy to oblige....and take him into custody. They also took the opportunity to slap 3 additional charges onto him, including possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
