A man made sure that he will never get in trouble again for not washing the dishes or not putting the toilet seat down after he fought off a polar bear to save his wife's life!

In a dazzling display of pure love and bravery, the man leapt into action to save his wife from a polar bear after she slipped to the ground. The polar bear attacked the woman when it sensed a moment of weakness, and at that moment the man jumped onto the polar bear to fight it off and to protect his wife.

If you asked a wildlife expert the actions taken by the man would probably be what they call idiotic, stupid, suicide, and not too bright. Polar bears are some of the most aggressive mammals on the planet, and they are one of the few species known to actively hunt humans. There is a saying regarding survival of bear attacks that goes like, "If it's black fight back, if it's brown lay down, and if it's white goodnight". This in reference to the fact that black bears can be intimidated, your best bet with a grizzly bear is to make it not feel threatened by you, and polar bears think you are delicious.

Whether or not what the man did was smart or not, he definitely won some points with his wife. The man is recovering in the hospital after having his arm and leg mauled by the bear. Scoring major points from both the man and his wife was their neighbor who ran over with a gun and shot the polar bear several times.

After police were called to the area by someone that heard the gunshots they found the bear dead in the woods.

10 Photos of Bears I Saw In the Wild

I was privileged to take a trip to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park with guys that have been there before to look for bears. That experience paid huge dividends. I am nowhere close to being a professional photographer, but getting these bear shots was a huge thrill.
