The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Wind Advisory for Central Texas today from 9 am to 6 pm. Winds will be on the increase to around 25mph today with gusts at times up to 40 mph.

Lose objects like holiday decorations, inflatables, and lawn furniture will get blown around by the winds today so if you can secure those items before heading off to work you'll be glad ya did. Nobody likes finding their garbage cans down the street when they get home at night. Driving conditions will become challenging on east-west roads in high-profile vehicles.

A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph. Winds can make driving difficult but can also be problematic for boaters who wish to go out on the water today.

Winds will calm down a bit on Friday before kicking back in over the weekend.
