Winter Storm Watch for Bell County Begins Monday Night
A Winter Storm Watch goes into effect late Monday for Bell County.
Most of Central Texas including Killeen-Temple will be under one weather alert or another over the next couple of days.
A winter storm is expected to bring freezing rain and snow Monday night into Tuesday afternoon. A Winter Storm Watch means enough sleet, snow, or ice is in the forecast to make driving hazardous.
The cold will move North to South by later in the day Monday as light rain will be right behind it. This rain could change over to light accumulations of freezing rain or snow. Highest amounts are expected from Waco to Corsicana to Canton and to the NE of Bell County. While that area could see up to 2 inches of wintry mix, most other areas will get about half an inch. This is still enough to make bridges, overpasses, and flyovers tricky if they become slick. Please travel safely.
