ADORABLE: One Of Your Favorite Childhood Shows Was Made In Texas
Let's get nostalgic, Texas.
It's hard to believe there was a time when kids used to get up early on Saturday mornings or run home after to school to watch their favorite TV shows. There are so many great ones, and we could go on and on with our favorites. But, here's the thing: there were a lot of options to choose from weren't there?
It didn't help different shows were on different channels too. You could be a Nickelodeon kid, a Disney Channel kid, a Cartoon Network kid...I mean how did one exactly choose? It always came down to the shows presented.
While scrolling the channels, you have may have come across one more block of programming known as PBS Kids. But what you may have not known is one of the best and most memorable shows was filmed right here in the Lone Star State.
Did You Love This Adorable Dog Too?
Here's a hint: You see multiple types of this animal every day, whether it be online or real life. They love treats, and sometimes get very excited when they see someone new. We're talking about dogs, of course!
One very famous one graced the TV airwaves from 1995-1998. His name you ask? None other than Wishbone!
Yes, Wishbone Was Filmed in Texas
Oh, this little pupper truly stole our hearts with his adventures in which he placed himself in famous books to spark our interest in reading. With so many literary expeditions, it's hard to pick the best. But it turns out the Wild West, or as we'll call it now, the Wishbone West, was where the behind-the-scenes magic happened.
According to IMDB, various places in Texas were used to film the show. Dallas, Grapevine, Plano, and Allen helped the terrier take center stage so to speak. So once again, Texas helped bring joy to many faces, young and old.
Take A Nostalgia Break - You've Earned It
You 90s kids probably had a soft spot for Wishbone, not only because he was the cutest Jack Russell Terrier this side of Eddie from Frasier, but because of all the times your teacher rolled the TV into the classroom and put on one of Wishbone's classic adventures.
This one was a fan favorite:
