The Texas Department of Public Safety recently released a collection of videos showcasing the use of DPS helicopters in the pursuit of suspects, and one video in particular had us staring in complete disbelief.

In a clip dated June 15, 2018, a woman is seen speeding along Highway 90 at speeds near 100 mph after a DPS trooper attempted to stop her SUV. She has a few close calls with other vehicles, runs a red light at an intersection, and even drives into oncoming traffic at one point.

Police know there's an infant in the car, so they try to be as careful as they can. We can't say that much for mom, who eventually rear-ends a truck at a light.

The woman, identified as 29-year-old Caitlyn Rodriguez, then grabs her baby's car seat and makes a mad dash on foot.

The craziness doesn't end there.

Rodriguez is seen approaching a white SUV yielding at a turn and getting inside. At first it appears as if the driver simply saw a distressed woman with a baby and offered a ride, but police say Rodriguez was attempting to carjack the vehicle.

Thankfully, a trooper was able to block the SUV's path with his vehicle. Police were able to safely remove the baby, the driver of the SUV, and another child before taking Rodriguez into custody.

Police say Rodriguez had outstanding warrants. She was charged with child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, and evading arrest. Her child was placed in the care of Child Protective Services.

Rodriguez's chase begins around the 4:20 mark in the video below. (Go figure.)
