‘You Don’t Own Me’ Video Reminds Women to Vote Nov. 4th [VIDEO]
A new video has been set to Lesley Gore's classic song 'You Don't Own Me,' with a strong political message and reminder to women to vote.
Regardless of which political party you represent, or even if you vote independent of a party, you must be aware that mid-term elections are coming up fast.
No one else can do this for you, and thankfully in our country only you can take that right away from yourself. Early voting began in Texas yesterday. Here's more information on where and when you can vote early.
Also, a new bill passed in Texas requiring you to show a photo ID when you vote. Here is a list of acceptable photo IDs:
- Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
- Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
- Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
- United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
- United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
- United States passport
Don't have photo ID? You can visit your local DPS office to receive an election identification certificate during regular business hours.
