If you're unemployed in Texas get ready for an additional $300 bucks to be deposited into your account.

According to News 10, the Federal Governments “Lost Wage Assistance Executive Order” signed recently by President Trump. It was implemented to replace the $600 benefit that expired at the beginning of August.

To receive the extra money you must already be receiving at least $100 per week in unemployment benefits and have to have certified that your claim is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first payments won't begin until after August 23rd and the funds will be back dated to the first of the month according to the Texas Workforce Commission.

Cisco a spokesperson for the Commission says, “If you are already receiving benefits no new actions are needed."  “Just continue requesting payments as you would normally.”

The extra money will last until all the funds run out, expire or legislation is past by Congress.

That's some good news for those who can't find work during this time and need the help.
