KWTX's Drake Lawson reported that the rainy conditions in the Central Texas area didn't stop an annual event in the Waco area this weekend.

Rainy conditions caused the Art on Elm event in Waco to be moved indoors on Saturday, but that didn't stop the crowds from coming out.

The free pop-up event in Waco was moved indoors, and still had a great turn out. There was food, music, and lots of art was on hand of course!

President of the Waco Cultural Arts Festival, Doreen Ravenscroft said, "It's a community function and its really a very close knit community function to have everyone come out even in the rain is really amazing."

Organizers of the event said there has been a history of bad weather associated with this event in the past. They are still beyond ecstatic they had big crowds come out, despite the rainy conditions.
