Autumn at the Arboretum in Dallas is Amazing

There's still time to pack your fall full of fun, and you can do it right here in Texas.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is hosting Autumn at the Arboretum with a theme titled "The Art of the Pumpkin."

The festival is held annually, and this year will be just a tad different with COVID-19 safety in mind. Guests ages 5 years and older are required to wear a face covering for the duration of their visit, unless dining or medically unable to do so. To visit the Dallas Arboretum, guests will need to reserve tickets ahead of time on a specific date and time slot. Each time slot is 4 hours long, and there is no carryover for late arrivals.

Tickets are available for purchase now through November 1st.

Autumn at the Arboretum is home to the Pumpkin Village, which features four 20-foot-tall decorated pumpkin houses and creative displays fashioned from more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash. The 1-acre large Pumpkin Village takes about 21 days for 35 workers to build.

Dallas Arboretum board chairman Alan Walne said, “We invite the community to the Dallas Arboretum to experience a familiar place, including Pumpkin Village, which has been a tradition for 15 years. The garden is a wonderful place to social distance, get some fresh air outdoors and take plenty of photos."

The festival also displays over 150,000 autumn flowers adorned with fun fall accents like pumpkins, gourds, and squash all from Floydada, Texas. Fun activities at the festival include pumpkin decorating, body art painting, a petting zoo and live music on the weekends.
