Baby Baylor Bears are moving in for the Fall 2025 semester. The first day of freshman Move-In started Wednesday. Baylor officials say the university is expecting over 3,500 freshmen this year.

Group Effort

The move in process means all hands-on deck this week to ensure that things go smoothly. Over 2,700 volunteers are lending a helping hand during the two-day event. Classes officially begin on August 25th.

Traffic Headaches

Due to the increase in activity, dozens of parking lots will be closed, and the flow of traffic will be altered during the move in. Off campus traffic will be affected as well, with drivers on I-35 being warned to expect heavier than usual traffic combined with My35 road construction. You may want to leave earlier than usual if you need to be somewhere at a certain time.

Fall Semester 2025

The start of the fall semester means Baylor Bears football. The season kicks off at McLane Stadium on August 29th as the Bears take on the Auburn Tigers. Students are in for a special treat at the Baylor Auburn Game. Baylor Athletics says a special halftime drone show presented by TFNB Your Bank for Life will be the first drone show at a Baylor athletic event.

While students head back to class, Baylor may be heading to court. Baylor University has filed a lawsuit against Boston University arguing that the Boston school violated a 1988 agreement on the use of its interlocking BU logo. The only difference is the logo colors. According to Baylor, Boston began use of the interlocking BU logo in 2018 and expanded its use to an increasing amount of merchandise. Baylor is one of multiple universities filing lawsuits over possible trademark infringement.
